Services Offered
Educational TherapyEducational therapy is our highest level of one-on-one service. This service is provided by our educational therapists, Daltrey Abney ET/P and Tess Niemi ET/A. Our educational therapy service includes the following provided directly by Daltrey and/or Tess:
* This level of service is also provided to intensive clients [4-5 sessions / week] that work with interventionists that meet more frequently with Daltrey or Tess and provide a higher level of support. Adult ServicesOur practice has begun extending our services to neurodivergent adult students and professionals!
Our adult services include, but are not limited to, working on the following areas: Neurodivergent Education: understanding your diagnosis and the accommodations it affords you at school and/or work Cognitive Assessments: learning more about your strengths and stretches in cognitive skills such as reasoning, perception, memory, attention, and coordination Goal Setting: learning how to set realistic, measurable goals that utilize your strengths and improve your stretches Executive Function Support: building skills in memory, inhibition, organization, emotional control, time management, attention regulation, flexibility, task initiation, prioritization, and planning Toolbox Building: creating and practicing using a toolbox of strategies and resources that help improve daily functioning that is independently accessible and sustainable. Neurodivergent Professionalization: building essential professional skills including creating a cover letter, interview skills, email etiquette, Zoom etiquette, calendar management, etc. through a personalized, accessible process Meera's PackWhether you have a recently diagnosed student that wants to learn more about their brain or a long time diagnosed student looking for camaraderie with like-minded people, Meera's Pack is a safe space for neurodiverse students to be candid about their experience with no judgement! Social skills groups and group therapy can sometimes feel unwelcoming. Even if they have the best intentions, there is often a demand put on students to behave by neurotypical standards and solve problems using neurotypical techniques and reasoning. Meera's Pack aims to be a space where we affirm neurodiversity, recognize its very real benefits and challenges, and learn how to navigate a neurotypical world together!
Meera's pack will be run by Daltrey Abney, a neurodiverse Educational Therapist, and will feature other neurotypical educational therapists and professionals that will help student learn about how their unique brains work. Together with their peers, they will get and give advice on how to handle really world situation and challenges that they face daily. Most importantly, they'll learn how to better appreciate who they are and how to advocate for themselves. Based on who is signed up for each meeting, we will break up into age appropriate groups to socialize and cover that week's topics. SUMMER FRIDAYS! New this year is the addition of Summer Fridays, offering multiple group sessions. Possible groups include:

Academic InterventionAcademic intervention is our next tier of one-to-one services. This service is provided by multiple members of our educational therapy team. This is great for clients looking for a more affordable option or clients that cannot fit into or Educational Therapists' one-on-one schedules.
Provided by the Discover Team:
After the discussing the client's specific needs and reviewing any previous assessments, Daltrey works with clients to pair them with the team member that is right for them. Our interventionists are all experienced in working one-on-one with students with learning differences and disabilities, We will pair clients with the interventionist that has the right training and expertise to meet their specific needs. After initial assessments are conducted by both Daltrey and the interventionist, the interventionist works directly with Daltrey to implement the session plan that she has laid out and progress monitor the goals that she has set. Daltrey continues to be part of the process by meeting with the interventionist regularly, tracking progress monthly to adjust the intervention plan as needed, and communicating with the client's team to ensure progress is being made. Educational Consulting.Our educational consulting service offers personalized support to families navigating the complexities of their child's education. Led by our found and lead Educational Therapist, Daltrey (ET/P), we provide guidance in the following areas:
IEPs, 504s, and Learning Plan Processes: help families understand and navigate the creation, modification and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504 plans, and personalized learning plans to ensure your child receives the appropriate supports and accommodations at school. Advocacy: help create strong advocacy plans, ensuring that your child's needs are effectively communicated and met within their school setting. Accommodations and Modifications: assist in identifying and securing the necessary accommodations and modifications your child may need to thrive academically and socially. Appropriate School Placement: from selecting schools to managing applications, we provide support to ease the process. Strategies for School and Home: collaborate with families to develop effective strategies that support learning both in the school setting and at home, focusing on continuity of educational support. Additional Outside Resources: help connect families with additional outside resources that may further support your child's development. Homework DenHomework Den is our group homework club uniquely designed for neurodivergent students.
Homework Den runs every Monday through Thursday during the school year with 3 session options: 4:00-6:00, 5:00-7:00, and 6:00-8:00 pm PST. Students are welcome to join at our office or via Zoom, and can arrive and depart at any point within that window if they have other activities or finish their work. We offer a variety of sign up packages, so you can pick what is right for you! Executive Functioning Support: We help students prioritize their work for the day by utilizing a digital to-do list, time manage using techniques like the pomodoro technique, self-monitor progress, organize work so that it is legible and coherent, organize materials so things don't get lost, and more! Body Doubling Strategy: This is a strategy known to help neurodivergent people stay on task. The basic principle of it is that two are better than one! When someone else is in the room or with you via Zoom, you are more likely to stay on task and focused. Additionally, it can take some of the edge off of non-preferred tasks by reducing anxiety, staving off boredom, and making time feel like its moving faster. Summer ProgramsSummer is the perfect time to work on foundational skills without the stress of school and extra-curriculars. We offer a variety of summer camps and intervention intensives to meet your student's needs.
Summer School Summer school is where middle or high schoolers hoping to gain school credits over the summer complete their summer coursework. If your student wants to receive credit for their courses, we recommend registering for accredited classes at BYU Online or Fusion Academy. We offer support ranging from executive functioning support with completing and submitting work in a timely manner to reteaching lessons in a neurodivergent-friendly way. Summer Club Summer Club is our camp for students ages 8-13, aimed at building executive functioning and social skills through project-based activities and games. Summer Skills Summer Skills is our camp for students for students ages 14-18 looking to eventually transition to living independently by building executive functioning skills, planning "Next Steps", and learning a variety of life skills Summer Intensives We offer a variety of multi-week intensives for all ages aimed at addressing a multitude of foundational skills including:

PROGRAMS USED
Our instruction is data-driven to ensure progress toward realistic and measurable goals. We use research-based programs for reading, writing, math, processing, and executive functioning interventions. Many of these programs are specifically designed for students with learning differences. They allow students to access curriculum by teaching strategies that they can use for life! We are constantly staying up to date on the latest programs and research to ensure our methods are valid and our clients have access to the programs that will most benefit them.
